ABOUT BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH

Founded on Jesus’ promise of forgiveness of sins through his precious blood we look to preach hope and salvation to every life broken by sin. One by one building up a body of believers that are led by the Holy Spirit to shine the glorious light of his gospel into a world that is lost in darkness.

Psalm 126:3  The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

The Lord Jesus began his great work in my life when I received him as my Saviour when I was ten years old. Shortly thereafter, my family became founding members of Bible Believer’s Baptist Church in Macedonia, Ohio. The Lord knit my heart with foreign missionaries and began giving understanding of the need for true ministers of the word of God across the world. After growing up and faithfully serving in our local church for over 25 years the Master called me to be a missionary to Moldova in 2007. Graciously, Jesus taught and allowed me to minister to the orphan children who so desperately needed to hear about our great heavenly Father.

In Moldova the Lord developed me into someone who could minister to all ages and classes of people. Many children and adults were led to the saving knowledge of trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. Through countless experiences I was used to pass along the most important steps of discipleship and Christian growth found in the practical truths of God’s word. Those 14 years on the mission field were a preparation for where the Lord of the harvest has brought me today! On Friday, September 3, 2021, the Lord finished a work, giving clear directions and instructions to RETURN to Stow, Ohio. This is where he desires to build his church as he gathers us together. I look forward to the many great things the Lord has in store for us at Bible Baptist Church!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Coming to church is not about checking off a box to start your week. Coming to church is about the changing of your heart as Jesus’ face you seek.

HONESTY IN DOCTRINE

2 TIMOTHY 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

God has provided his preserved perfect word for us to know his truth. It is our desire to compare scripture with scripture for a clear explanation of Jesus’ doctrine which gives direction for service to him.

SINCERITY IN DEED

TITUS 2:7–8

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Our preaching and practice go hand in hand. Expectations are set forth by an example. Our heart is to help people not only in word but by our works, reaching souls through the love of Christ, and displaying charity in our lives that will attract others to our Saviour.

FERVENCY IN DELIVERY

ROMANS 12:10–11

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

We are excited to worship the Lord and serve him together. Singing with a joyful heart the old hymns of the faith as we lift our voices to exalt the Lord and encourage each other. Preaching will be filled with exhortation that will stir us to action and a life that pleases our Master!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

JOHN 10:9

Bible Baptist Church is

PSALM 12:6–7
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

The Lord Jesus Christ not only promised to preserve his word but also to build his church. Jesus is our firm foundation. The King James Bible is our final authority and blueprint of instructions that we must follow to build his church for his glory and honour.

LUKE 21:33
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Our God is an eternal God and everything he does is everlasting.

It is our aim to build lives upon his word that last forever. This will give each of us the opportunity to do something that endures past this life into eternity!

ROMANS 3:23–25
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood...

We do not trust in our own works to earn our way to heaven. We know that without the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour we would be bound for Hell. In love, the Lord Jesus Christ came to provide the payment that is more precious than anything on this earth, his perfect blood.

EPHESIANS 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Through Jesus’ sacrifice he opened the door for us to obtain forgiveness of our sins and receive the gift of eternal life with him in heaven.

JOHN 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The Holy Spirit that dwells in every child of God is our guide and teacher. The Holy Spirit moved men to write the holy scripture, it is our desire to be directed and instructed by him to do that which is pleasing to our heavenly Father.

JOHN 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

The Holy Spirit will guide us to believe the truth and to live the truth through the sanctifying agent of God’s word.
